Congregation for the Outcasts (2019-2020)

Congregation for the Outcasts is a documentation of the Rock music scene in and around Kansas City, Missouri. The give-and-take exchange of emotional energy between fans and musicians fuels performances within these genres and opens the door for intense communal displays of energy and emotion. The venues of these congregations often lack many official rules, but an unwritten code among those involved often opens the door for camaraderie and compassion within the crowd. The purpose of Congregation for the Outcasts is to reveal these moments to those for which they may go unnoticed or misinterpreted, as well as represent these communities in a positive light. This series has also been released as a small run editioned book of prints by the same title.
