Our Secluded Beauty (2019)

Our Secluded Beauty showcases life’s often overlooked moments. While these moments sometimes bear little or no significance to the lives of those portrayed, they are moments that can be identified with and understood by many. Also, the subjects in the photographs take on the identities of new characters in the eyes of the spectator as their imagination creates narratives amongst them. While these moments are never one hundred percent private, as all photos in the series were taken in public spaces, they provide a slight insight into the lives of these people. Whether that insight is into the lives of the subjects, the lives of their fictional characters, into one’s self, or all options listed is entirely up to the attitude and perception of the viewer.
